Hedrick Receives $1,000 ICAP Grant
The City of Hedrick has received a $1,000 grant from the Iowa Communities Assurance Pool (ICAP), the member's property and/or casualty coverage provider.
The ICAP Grant provides up to $1,000 per member for the purchase of select loss control and/or risk management items. Such items include, but are not limited to:
* Approved playground surface materials;
* Exit signage;
* Automated External Defibrillators; and
* Fire extinguishers
The City of Hedrick recently submitted an application for the grant, and was awarded $1,000 from the Pool. The member used the Grant funds to purchase a gas monitor/detector for maintenance to the sewer system.
ICAP was formed in 1986 as a group self-insurance program for Iowa public entities. The member-owned Pool provides property and casualty coverage, risk-sharing facilities and risk-management services to its members. The Pool is acclaimed for its stable rates, superior coverages and class of service that is second-to-none. For additional information, please contact Kasi Koehler at 515-727-1585.
